About Patentext

Built to modernize how companies protect their IP

Patentext was created by patent practitioners and engineers to help technical teams move from scattered invention activity to a faster, more strategic patent pipeline.

Why we built Patentext

After years spent drafting applications, reviewing invention disclosures, evaluating portfolios, and working directly with technical teams, we kept seeing the same thing. Companies were doing valuable technical work, but the process for protecting that work was slower, more expensive, and more frustrating than it needed to be.

Patent work often started too late — when the technical context was already scattered across documents, meetings, product decisions, and people's memory. Teams were paying to reconstruct what they already knew and making filing decisions without a clear view of what mattered most to the business.

We built Patentext to change that experience. Today, we give companies a better way to manage patent work as a real business function.

What is Patentext?

Patentext combines a secure software platform with an AI-enabled patent drafting workflow led by USPTO-registered patent agents. Together, they help companies identify, evaluate, draft, file, and manage patentable work in one connected system.

Our beliefs

01

IP should be managed as a strategic function

Patent work should reflect where the business is going. What is the company building? Where is the market moving? Which inventions are most important to protect?

02

The best patent work starts before drafting

Strong applications depend on clear invention capture and thoughtful evaluation.

03

AI should make practitioners better

Patentext uses AI to accelerate the work, while registered patent professionals remain responsible for drafting quality, filing strategy, and legal judgment.

04

Better patent work should be faster and more accessible

The traditional process makes strategic patent protection too expensive and too slow for many growing technical teams. Patentext was built to make high-quality patent work more accessible.
